Eastern Busway Project

In East Auckland, one of the region’s most significant transport infrastructure upgrades is well underway, the Eastern Busway Project, led by Auckland Transport and delivered by the Eastern Busway Alliance (EBA).

This large scale initiative will transform how people move through the area, easing congestion, improving travel times, and building a more connected, sustainable future for the community.For a project of this scale and complexity, reliable temporary water management is essential to ensure construction progresses smoothly and safely. As part of the works, the client is constructing a new stormwater (SW) pipe and required a temporary bypass setup to maintain flow continuity during installation.

NZ Pump & Energy supplied and commissioned a tailored stormwater bypass solution, featuring two float-mounted pumps designed for resilience and efficiency. With the summer season ahead, the system is expected to operate on standby, ready to respond when required and ensuring minimal disruption and complete peace of mind for the project team.
